Dear members
The New Zealand Institute of Chinese Medicine has provided comprehensive professional education and networking opportunities to its members, regularly throughout the years, including hosting international educators and speakers.
We commend the current teams hard work, staying true to form by continuing to deliver excellent peer education evenings and the upcoming seminar with Thomas Richardson on pulse diagnosis. Another example of the high calibre education which NZICM is known for!
As an outgoing committee, we ask that you genuinely consider helping NZICM to navigate one, maybe more, years into the future. We have decided to be prepared for both eventualities at our upcoming AGM, to be held on Sunday 7th of October during the seminar lunch break.
There are many members who have already done their dues in serving their committee, if the future of NZICM and quality TCM education is important to you and enough other members, we would ask you to consider standing for the committee.
Committee members are remunerated for their time!
So we are at somewhat of a crossroads. There is a real place for good quality professional development and this need
will become even greater if Chinese Medicine comes under the HPCA act.
NZICM has strong bones....However we need to be prepared for either eventuality – continuing on with a new committee, or,dissolving the organisation.
So there shall be NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING together with the AGM.
Please do consider how you feel about our institute and its future.
Yours in health,
Lisbet Molving
